She is the daughter of Joan and Dale Weimaster of Russell, Kan. He is the son of Debbie and Tom Brooke of St. Joseph.
The future bride is a 2000 graduate of Russell High School and a 2005 graduate of Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kan., with a bachelor of science degree in speech-language pathology. She is employed with Chisholm Life Skills Center in Wichita, Kan., as a paraeducator.
The future groom is a 2001 graduate of Savannah (Mo.) High School and is employed with Lowe’s in Wichita as a department manager.
Their wedding is to be at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 3. 2008, at Trinity United Methodist Church, in Russell. A reception will follow at 5 p.m. at the AmericInn.

The future bride is a 2004 graduate of Central High School and will graduate in December from Missouri Western State University with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. She is employed with Jackson’s Weekend Furniture as a general manager.
The future groom is a 2005 graduate of Chillicothe High School and will graduate in December from Missouri Western with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is employed with Jackson’s Weekend Furniture as a warehouse manager.

Neda Badieh Vargha and Alexander Sanchez-Behar are engaged to be married.
She is the daughter of Hoda and Nader Vargha of St. Joseph. He is the son of Dorothy Behar of Chandler, Ariz., and Fernando Sanchez-Barroso of Malaga, Spain.
The future bride is a 1997 graduate of Central High School, a 2002 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education and a 2005 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a master of arts degree in reading education. She is employed with the St. Joseph School District as a first-grade teacher at Webster Elementary School.
The future groom is a 1996 graduate of Beverly Hills (Calif.) High School, a 2001 graduate of University of California-Berkeley with a bachelor of arts degree in music, a 2002 graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., with a master of music degree in music theory and a 2008 graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee with a doctorate in music theory. He is employed with Phoenix (Ariz.) College as a lecturer in music theory.

The future groom is a 2001 graduate of Gallatin High School and a 2006 graduate of Missouri Western State University with a degree in chemistry with a business emphasis. He is employed with the American Red Cross in Norfolk, Va., as an apheresis account manager.

The future bride is a 2002 graduate of East Buchanan High School and a 2007 graduate of Missouri Western State University with a bachelor of science in business administration degree with an emphasis in marketing and a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish and a minor in biology. She is employed with Altec Industries as a Midwest buyer.
The future groom, a 2004 graduate of Mound City High School, will graduate in December from Missouri Western with a bachelor of science in business administration degree with majors in marketing and management. He currently plays football for Missouri Western.

The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Dekalb (Mo.) High School and is employed by Smurfit Stone Container as a forklift operator.

Wedding: Wright and Farr

Shawna Wright and Larry Farr were married Dec. 15, 2007, at Christian Fellowship Church in Mound City, Mo. by Jim Brown.
She is the daughter of Sheri Wright and Stephen Wright of Mound City. He is the son of Donna and Mitchell Corbin of Mound City and Dennis and Mary Farr of Stewartsville, Mo.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Matron of honor was Ashley Morris, bridesmaids were Shelby Wright, Ellen Buntz, Laine Wright, Chasyn Quick, and junior bridesmaid was Kimberly Corbin.
Best man was Stephen Farr, groomsmen were Jamy Miles, Jason Hall, Kevin Young, Jeremy Cook, and junior groomsman was Kooper Young.
Others in the wedding party were: Kenna Morris, flower girl; Corbin Miles, ring bearer; Brendan Wright, Drew Wright, Blake Crowley, and Chris Russell, ushers; Amara Cook and Morgan Hovenga, candlelighters.
A reception was held at The Klub in Mound City. The rehearsal dinner was held in the church basement.
The newlyweds will honeymoon at a later date. They live in Mound City.
She is a 2004 graduate of Mound City R-2 High School. She will graduate in May from Missouri Western State University with a degree in recreation management.
He is a 2004 graduate of Mound City R-2 High School and a 2007 graduate of the Missouri Western State University Law Enforcement Academy. He is employed with the Cooper Nuclear Plant in Brownville, Neb., as a security officer.

The future bride is a 2004 graduate of Macon High School and a 2007 graduate of Missouri State University in Springfield. She is employed with the Missouri Office of the Secretary of State in Jefferson City as an associate editor.
The future groom is a 2001 graduate of Monroe City High School and will graduate this year from Moberly (Mo.) Area Community College, Mo. He also served in the Marines.

DENTON, Kan. — Marion and Bonnie Schuetz of Denton will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary Saturday, April 26.
They were married on that date in 1968 in Atchison, Kan.
Their daughters and sons-in-law are: Kristi and Lance Hingerty of Ivor, Va., and Kerry Schuetz and Kylee and Adam Bunck, all of Olathe, Kan.

CRAIG, Mo. — Jerry and Betty Sollars of Craig celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary April 10.
They were married on that date in 1953 in St. Joseph and have resided in Holt County for the past 28 years.
Their children and their spouses are: Vickie and Dave Broermann of Cameron, Mo.; Tim and Connie Sollars of Coin, Iowa; Suzan and Dave Laur of Westboro, Mo.; and Jerry Jr. and Paula Sollars and Craig Sollars, all of Craig.
There are 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A family celebration was held April 10.

CAMERON, Mo. — John and Sylvia (Jansen) Whaley of Cameron will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today.
They were married April 20, 1958, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kansas City. He retired from Hallmark Cards. She retired from the Missouri Federal Savings Bank. They have lived in the Cameron for 37 years.
Their daughters and sons-in-law are Karen and Donnie Feighert of Cameron and Debbie and Mando Bernal of Tucson, Ariz.
There are four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Hosting the celebration are their children: Bryan and Glenna Atkins; Darryl Atkins; Monty and Wendy Atkins; and Kent and Mary Atkins.

MARYVILLE, Mo. — Wilbert “Willie” and Monica Giesken Zirfas of Maryville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, April 26.
They were married on that date in 1958 at St. Patrick’s Church in Maryville. He retired from farming. She retired from Northwest Missouri State University.
They will attend the 5 p.m. Mass at St. Gregory’s Church in Maryville, followed by a family dinner hosted by their nieces and nephews.
