Wedding: Bottiger and Adams

Leigh Bottiger and Ryan Adams were married Oct. 20, 2007, at The Clubhouse on Baltimore in Kansas City.
She is the daughter of Joyce Bottiger of Lenexa, Kan., and Tom Bottiger of Denton, Kan. He is the son of Jeana Murphy of Independence, Kan., and Bill Adams of Overland Park, Kan.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Maid of honor was Macy Wood, and bridesmaids were Jennifer Schneider, Merritt Grothe, Elaine Berns, Alison Utne, Karrie Leung and Jill Adams.
Best man was Trent Adams, and groomsmen were Bill McNaughton, Chad Russell, Neil Thielen, Andrew Bruning, Kyle Kemp and Jonathon Bottiger.
Others in the wedding party were Ava Kemp, flower girl; Jack Schneider, ring bearer; Hyleme George, Ryan Schneider and Jeff Grothe, ushers; and Stephanie Bottiger and Ashleigh Adkins, readers.
A reception was held at The Clubhouse on Baltimore. The rehearsal dinner was held at Brio at the Country Club Plaza.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Playacar, Mexico. They live in Chicago.
She is a 1995 graduate of Shawnee Mission (Kan.) Northwest High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Kansas in Lawrence with a degree in journalism. She is employed with the American Medical Association as a marketing manager.
He is a 1996 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest and a 2001 graduate of KU with a degree in architecture. He is employed with Michael Hershemson Architects as a project architect.

Engagement: Frick and Geiger

Audra Ann Frick and Dustin Nolan Geiger are engaged to be married.
She is the daughter of Karen and Kent Frick of Larned, Kan.
He is the son of Vanetta and Matthew Geiger of Denton, Kan.
The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Larned High School and a 2006 graduate of Kansas State University in Manhattan with bachelor of science degrees in food science and industry and bakery science management with a minor in business. She is employed with Frito-Lay in Topeka, Kan., as a production corn supervisor.
The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Highland (Kan.) High School and a 2006 graduate of K-State with a bachelor of science degree in milling science. He is employed with Lifeline Foods LLC as a director of corn mill operations.
Their wedding is to be Saturday, May 24, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Larned.

Engagement: Harrison and White

Patricia Harrison and Nicholas White are engaged to be married.
She is the daughter of Karlene and John Harrison of Mound City, Mo. He is the son of Diana and Wayne White of Mound City.
The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Benton High School and a 2007 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville with a master’s degree in math education. She is employed with the West Nodaway R-I School District in Burlington Junction, Mo., as a math educator.
The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Mound City High School, a 2004 graduate of Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg with a bachelor of science in business education degree and will graduate this summer from Northwest Missouri State with a master’s degree. He is employed with the King City (Mo.) R-I School District as a business educator.
Their wedding is to be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Paradise Park in Oregon, Mo. A reception will follow. Friends and relatives are invited.

Wedding: Korthanke and White

Leslie Korthanke and Clayton White were married July 21, 2007, at Word of Life Church by Brian Zahnd.
She is the daughter of Gina and Mark Korthanke of St. Joseph. He is the son of Robin and David White of St. Joseph.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Matron of honor was Kim Roske, and bridesmaids were Hollie Schindler and Libby Korthanke.
Best man was Jamison White, and groomsmen were Jason White and Phillip Korthanke.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Breckenridge, Colo. They live in North Liberty, Iowa.
She is a 2000 graduate of Central High School and a 2005 graduate of Missouri Western State College with a bachelor of science in elementary education degree with emphasis in early childhood. She is employed with the Iowa City (Iowa) Community School District as a substitute teacher.
He is a 2000 graduate of Central High School and attended Missouri Western. He is employed with TransAmerica Life Insurance in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as a customer service team lead.

Randa Nichole “Nikki” Noble and Randy Paul Delp are engaged to be married.
She is the daughter of Ronda Noble of Stanberry, Mo., and Randy and Beverly Noble of Albany, Mo. He is the son of Sherri and Raymond Blackwell of Forest City, Mo., and John Delp of Savannah, Mo.
The future bride is a 2001 graduate of Stanberry R-II High School and a 2005 graduate of Northeast Missouri State University in Maryville with a bachelor of science in education degree in English education. She is employed with Northeast Nodaway R-V School District as a communication arts teacher.
The future groom is a 2001 graduate of South Holt High School in Oregon, Mo., and is an author.
Their wedding is to be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at St. Peter’s Church in Stanberry. A reception will follow at 5 p.m. at the Stanberry Community Building. Friends and relatives are invited.

Amanda Root and Daniel Beasley were married June 16, 2007, at St. Paul United Methodist Church by Homer Davidson.
She is the daughter of Diana and Russell Root of St. Joseph. He is the son of Debbie and David Beasley of St. Joseph.

Maid of honor was Meagan Root, and bridesmaids were Amanda Buckman and Alessia Neville.
Best man was Jarrett Estes, and groomsmen were Derrick Beasley and David Beasley Jr.

She is a 2002 graduate of Lafayette High School and a 2006 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville with bachelor of science degree in business management and marketing. She is employed with the Cerner Corp. as a delivery consultant.
He is a 2001 graduate of Lafayette and a 2006 graduate of Northwest Missouri State with a bachelor of science degree in biology. He is employed with the St. Joseph School District as a biology science teacher at Central High School.

Engagement: Silvey and Stroud

Ashley L. Silvey and Edward L. Stroud are engaged to be married.
She is the daughter of Sharon and David Hawk of St. Joseph and the late John Silvey. He is the son of Lynda and Bill Stroud of St. Joseph.
The future bride is a 1996 graduate of Bishop LeBlond High School, a 2000 graduate of Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., with a bachelor of science degree in exercise science and a 2003 graduate of Missouri Western State College with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed with Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City as a registered nurse in the neonatal ICU.
The future groom is a 1991 graduate of Lafayette High School and attended Missouri Western. He is an investor in the St. Joseph area.
Their wedding is to be at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Aventura Spa Palace in Riviera Maya, Mexico. A local reception will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday June 7, at the home of the couple. Friends and relatives are invited.

Anniversary: Bilby

ROSENDALE, Mo. — Ross and Cheryl Bilby of Rosendale will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary today.
They were married on Jan. 27, 1968, in Paris, Texas, and have resided all their married lives on a farm outside of Rosendale. He retired in 2004 from the United Electric Coop in Savannah, Mo., after more than 35 years as a member services manager. She has been employed for 37 years in banking in Missouri, with more than 17 of those years with the Nodaway Valley Bank in Savannah.
Their children and their spouses are Chad and Brooke Bilby of Ballwin, Mo., and Todd Bilby of Tucson, Ariz. There is one granddaughter.

Anniversary: Clark

GOWER, Mo. — Bill and Audrey Clark of Gower will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Feb. 1.
They were married on that date in 1958 at First Baptist Church in Medicine Mound, Texas.
He retired from the Army National Guard after 25 years of service. She was employed as a cosmetologist for 25 years. Now semi-retired, she is employed with the Gower Convalescent Center. They are former residents of Wyoming, having moved to Gower about 10 years ago.
Their children and their spouses are: Michelle Clark of Tucson, Ariz., Pamela Mier of St. Joseph, Karen and Rod Havens of Aurora, Neb., and Major Bill Jr. and Amy Clark of West Point, N.Y. A daughter, Crystal Louise Clark, is deceased.
There are 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

WATHENA, Kan. — Wallace and Nellie (King) Juhl of Wathena will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary today.
They were married on Jan. 27, 1968, at Burr Oak Baptist Church. He retired from Boehringer-Ingelheim Vetmedica after 34 years of service.
Their children and their spouses are: Lance and Carrie Juhl of St. Joseph; Tonya and Dan Keller of Troy, Kan.; Mitzi and Jeff Betts of Cosby, Mo.; and Brynn Juhl of Wathena. There are six grandchildren.

MAYSVILLE, Mo. — Larry and Beverly Knorr of Maysville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Feb. 2.
They were married on that date in 1958 at First Baptist Church in Maysville. He retired from USAF after 20 years of service. They own and operate Bram Monument Co. in Maysville.
Their son is John Knorr of Franklin, Tenn. There is one grandchild.

Anniversary: Pioch

Richard and Stene (Spaeth) Pioch of St. Joseph will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Monday, Jan. 28.
They were married on that date in 1948 at Cathedral of St. Joseph and have resided all their married lives in St. Joseph. He served in the military and retired from St. Joseph Optical after 49 years as an optician. She has been an Avon representative for 42 years.
Their children and their spouses are: Jean Swymeler of St. Joseph; Jim and Linda Pioch of Urbandale, Iowa; Cathy Weidmaier of Kansas City; and Paul and Karen Pioch of Algonquin, Ill. There are eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
