Engagement: Steidel and Ellsworth

Elizabeth Steidel and Paul Ellsworth are engaged to be married.
She is the daughter of Karen Payne and her boyfriend, David Puff, and Tom and Sarah Steidel, all of St. Joseph. He is the son of Kay Bowman of St. Joseph and Galen and Rosemary Ellsworth of Savannah, Mo.
The future bride is a 1999 graduate of Central High School and is employed with Abbey Woods as a C.N.A.
The future groom is a 1993 graduate of Lafayette High School and is employed with Culver’s as a supervisor.
Their wedding is to be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Savannah Avenue Baptist Church. A reception will follow at 6 p.m. at the Southside Reception Hall. Friends and relatives are invited.

Engagement: Langston and Wyrick

Kimberly Langston and Jeff Wyrick are engaged to be married.
She is the daughter of Karen and William Langston of Trimble, Mo. He is the son of DiAnn and Leslie Wyrick of St. Joseph.
The future bride is a 1995 graduate of Oak Park High School and a 2000 graduate of Missouri Western State University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed with Heartland Regional Medical Center and Liberty Hospital as an emergency department nurse.
The future groom is a 1994 graduate of Central High School and is employed with Heartland Health System and Andrew County Ambulance as a paramedic.
Their wedding is to be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Grace Evangelical Church. A reception will follow at Kovac’s Hall.

Heather McGlothlin and Tyler Ball are engaged to be married.
She is the daughter of Terry and Glenn McGlothlin of St. Joseph. He is the son of Gerri and Arthur Ball Jr. of Clayton, Mo.
The future bride, a 2005 graduate of Central High School, attends Missouri Western State University.
The future groom is a 2005 graduate of Clayton High School and a 2007 graduate of the Missouri Western Police Academy. He is employed with the King City Police Department as a police officer.

Janice King and Kent Heier are engaged to be married.
She is the daughter of Sharon Jones and Charles and Kathleen King, all of St. Joseph. He is the son of Shirley and Harlan Heier of Lincoln, Neb.
The future bride is a 1980 graduate of North Andrew High School in Rosendale, Mo., and a 1994 graduate of Missouri Western State University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She is employed with Heartland Regional Medical Center as a pre-access services representative.
The future groom is a 1985 graduate of York (Neb.) High School and a 1989 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor of science degree in secondary education. He is employed with Missouri Western as an assistant director of public relations and marketing.

She is the daughter of Gail Lowdon of Savannah, Mo. He is the son of Cathy and Rusty Wyble of Savannah.
The future bride is a 2004 graduate of Savannah High School and a 2006 graduate of Vatterott College. She is employed with La Petite Academy as a childcare assistant.
The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Savannah High School and is employed with Hausman Roofing & Sheet Metal as a roofer.

She is the daughter of Elizabeth and Terry Alder of St. Joseph.
He is the son of Estelle and the Rev. Ronald Gitthens of Cameron, Mo.
The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Benton High School and is employed with Heartland Pediatric and Adult Care as a patient care technician.
The future groom is a 1992 graduate of St. Joseph Christian School and a 2005 graduate of Missouri Western State University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. He is employed with Heartland Regional Medical Center as a registered nurse.

Anniversary: Cole

ROSENDALE, Mo. — Gary and Ann Cole of Rosendale will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at First Baptist Church in Savannah, Mo.

They were married July 24, 1958, in Savannah and have lived in rural Rosendale for 50 years. He retired from Consumers Oil and farming. She is a homemaker.
Their children and their spouses are: Mike and Stacy Cole of Rosendale; Mark and Sandy Cole of Platte City, Mo.; Lori Cole of Savannah; and daughter-in-law and her husband, Kris and Steve Sticken of Bolckow, Mo. A son, Woodie, is deceased.
There are six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Anniversary: Hinkle

Richard C. and Jeannine A. (Jones) Hinkle of St. Joseph will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at a Mass 4 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A reception will follow from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Monsignor Brady Hall.

They were married July 20, 1948, at St. Joseph’s Cathedral.
He is a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy. He was employed at St. Joseph Light and Power and retired from Affiliated Foods after 37 years as a printing department manager. She was employed at Affiliated Foods, was an administrator at United Cerebral Palsy for five years and retired from Helen M. Davis State School.
Hosting the event will be their children and their spouses: Barbara and Mike Scott, Stena Hinkle, Julie and John McKay and Michelle Hinkle, all of St. Joseph; Alex and Becky Hinkle of Kansas City; and Eric and Jen Hinkle of Casper, Wyo. A son, David C. Hinkle, is deceased.
There are 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The children also will host a private family dinner and celebration that evening.

Anniversary: Potts

Jim and June Potts of St. Joseph will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, July 19.
They were married on that date in 1958 in North Platte, Neb.
Their children and their spouses are: Cindy and Charles Henn of Columbia, Mo.; Jamie and Kevan Koch of Eustis, Neb.; and Mary Potts of Raytown, Mo. There are five granddaughters.
A family celebration will be held at the honorees’ home.

Anniversary: Eckerson

BETHANY, Mo. — Harold and Lela Mae (Cook) Eckerson of Bethany celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary July 11. They were married on that date in 1946 in Independence Mo.
Their sons and daughters-in-law are Ron and Norma Eckerson of Maryville, Mo., and Greg and Pam Eckerson of Overland Park, Kan.
There are seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Wedding: Mausolf and Davidson

Meghann Mausolf and Bryan Davidson were married Jan. 5, 2008, at the Wyatt park Christian Church by Dr. Rev. Scott Killgore.
She is the daughter of Jeanette and Dean Mausolf of St. Joseph. He is the son of Barbara and Homer Davidson of Lawson, Mo.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Maid of honor was Elizabeth Windmeyer.
Best man was Aaron Gnuschke.
Others in the wedding party were: Emma Angle and Elise Rago, flower girls; Karlie Angle, ring bearer; Michael Elsbree, Stephen Elsbree, Dean Mausolf and Joseph Mausolf, ushers; Kayleen Elsbree, reader; Leslie Stone, singer; and Mark Pennington, pianist.
A reception was held at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.
The newlyweds live in St. Joseph.
She is a 2003 graduate of Central High School and attends Missouri Western State University.
He is a 1995 graduate of Savannah (Mo.) High School and a 2006 graduate of Missouri Western. He is employed with Boy Scouts of America as a district executive.
