She is the daughter of Marlene (Spoolman) and James Allen Myers of Raleigh. He is the son of Mary Lou (Wylie) and Lennis Gene Echterling, former St. Joseph residents now living in Harrisonburg, Va.
The bride was escorted by her father.

Harvey D. and Peggy Miller of St. Joseph celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 26.
They were married on that date in 1958 at First Methodist Church. He retired as manager of Farm and Home Savings in 1992 and drove a truck for Levcon for seven years, retiring in 1999. She retired from the St. Joseph School District as a teacher after 25 years of service.

He worked for Swift and Co. for 18 years, at Seitz for 16 years and at the Northwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center for nine years, retiring in 1996. She worked in the office of Dr. J.L. Mothershead, and at Internal Medicine Associates for the past 18 years.
Their children are Karen Bailey, Debra McKernan and Janet Jackson and her husband, Corey. There are two grandchildren.

They were married on that date in 1958 at United Church of Christ near Cook, Neb., and have lived in Maryville since 1969. Both are graduates of Peru (Neb.) State College. She has a master’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University, and he has a master’s degree from the University of Kansas.
She retired from teaching in the Maryville Public Schools in 1995. He retired from a position in public relations at Northwest Missouri State.
Their children and their spouses are: Ann and Forrest Bertoldie, Mark and Barbara Henry and Kirk and Kelly Henry, all of Kansas City. There are six grandchildren.
