Erin Weaver and Grant Schuster are engaged to be married. She is the daughter of Gloria and Phil Weaver of Gower, Mo. He is the son of Dana and David Schuster of Gower. The future bride is a 2001 graduate of East Buchanan High School in Gower and a 2005 graduate of Missouri Western State University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed with Landmark Medical Center in Kansas City as a nurse. The future groom is 2001 graduate of East Buchanan High School and is employed with the Union Pacific Railroad as a signal maintainer. Their wedding is to be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Gower. A reception will follow at 7 p.m. at Paradise Pointe in Smithville, Mo. He is the son of Phyllis Graves of Richmond, Mo., and the late James Dennis Graves. The future bride is a 2001 graduate of Central High School and a 2005 graduate of Missouri Western State University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed with Regional Hospice in Liberty, Mo., as a registered nurse case manager. The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Richmond High School. Lisa Marie Madinger and Robert Owen Smith are engaged to be married. She is the daughter of Kathy Madinger and Steve and Peggy Madinger, all of St. Joseph. He is the son of Cindy and Fred Smith of Wathena, Kan. The future bride is a 1999 graduate of Aim High School in Eldwood and is employed with Great Plains Specialty Finance as a customer service representative. The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Wathena High School and is employed with Hewins Saw Mill and is a staff sergeant with the Missouri Army National Guard. Their wedding is to be at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at McCarthy Baptist Church. A reception will follow at Mayes Memorial Armory. Friends and relatives are invited.

Julie Boeh and Jeffrey Burns were married Dec. 1, 2007, at Central Christian Church by Pete Smith. She is the daughter of Sue and Richard Dittmann of Shoreview, Minn., and the late James Nett. He is the son of Marilyn and James Burns of Anabel, Mo. The bride was escorted by Christopher and Ethan Boeh, her sons. Maid of honor was Sherri Nett. Best man was Steve Burns. Others in the wedding party were: Laura Henning, flower girl; Dave Earls and Scott Nett, ushers; Brandi Catherall and Courtney Roscoe, candlelighters; and Adam Williams, singer. A reception was held at the church. The rehearsal dinner was held at the Fredrick Inn. The newlyweds live in St. Joseph. She is a 1997 graduate of Troy (Kan.) High School and attended Highland (Kan.) Community College. She is employed with United Consumers Credit Union as a member service coordinator. He is a 1992 graduate of Macon (Mo.) High School and a 1997 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in civil engineering. He is employed with the Missouri Department of Transportation as a senior highway designer.

Nicole Hendrix and Cody Archdekin were married Oct. 6, 2007, at Lake Pauline in Fairport, Mo., by Kari Haywood. She is the daughter of Tamilyn Pierce and Lynn and Laurie Hendrix, both of St. Joseph. He is the son of Harriet and Rod Archdekin of St. Joseph. The bride was escorted by her father. Matron of honor was Tara McCauley, and bridesmaids were Miranda Spalding and Laurie Roedeske. Best man was Andy Archdekin, and groomsmen were Levi Smock and Sean Grace. Others in the wedding party were: Tori Yeager, flower girl; Jordon McCauley and Caden McCauley, ring bearers; and Scott Kamier and Jason Maier, ushers. A reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The newlyweds live in St. Joseph. She is a 2001 graduate of Central High School and a 2005 graduate of Missouri Western State College with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed with Heartland Regional Medical Center as a registered nurse in the emergency room. He is a 2001 graduate of Central High School and a 2006 graduate of Missouri Western with a bachelor of science degree in communication. He is employed with Fastenal.

Lindsey Michelle Hoerath and Jacob Daniel "Jake" Phillips are engaged to be married. She is the daughter of Trudie and Steve Hoerath of St. Joseph. He is the son of Judith and Dan Phillips of Stanberry, Mo. The future bride is a 2003 graduate of Benton High School and a 2007 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville with a degree in elementary education. She is employed with Old Navy in Kansas City. The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Stanberry R-2 High School and a 2007 graduate of Northwest Missouri State with a degree in public relations. He is employed with Americo Financial Life in Kansas City as a financial analyst. Their wedding is to be Saturday, June 7, 2008, at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art. Blair and Blair

ROSENDALE, Mo. - Donnie and Dawn Blair of Rosendale will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, March 21. They were married on that date in 1958. Their children are Leslie Blair and Howard Rudin of Farmington Hills, Mich., and Lori Rush, Leisa Blair and Dana Prater, all of Savannah, Mo. There are three grandsons. CLARKSDALE, Mo. - Marion "Bob" and Florence (Schneider) Peterson of Clarksdale will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Wednesday, March 19. They were married on that date in 1948 in Cosby, Mo. Both are retired dairy farmers, and have resided in Clarksdale all their married lives. Their sons and daughters-in-law are Jerry and Mavis Peterson and Larry and Teggy Peterson, all of Clarksdale. Mr. and Mrs. David Brown of St. Joseph will celebrate their 60th wedding announcement Thursday, March 20. They were married on that date in 1948. He retired from Food-4-Less. She retired from the Stetson Hat Co. Their sons and daughters-in-law are Danny and Lori of Weston, Mo., and Rickey and Sandy of Tigard, Ore. A son, David, is deceased. There are five grandchildren. He is the associate pastor at Carnegie Baptist Church and has been employed with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 37 years. She has been employed with the United States Postal Service for more than 20 years. There are four children and 11 grandchildren. A private celebration is planned. Larry and Diana Garrett of St. Joseph celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary March 8. They were married on that date in 1968 in St. Joseph. He retired from the United States Postal Service. She retired from J.W. McGlade Masonry Contractors. Their children and their spouses are: Beth Garrett, Rusty and Tisha Garrett and Mary "Ginger" and Stephan Phillips, all of St. Joseph, and Lorrie Sadler and her mate, Tom, in Stilwell, Kan.
