Jody Dye and Kevin Detwieler are engaged to be married.
She is the daughter of Brenda and Darrell Dye of Bunceton, Mo. He is the son of Christine and William Detwieler of St. Joseph.
The future bride received her GED in 1999 in Boonville, Mo., and is a 2004 graduate of Union College in Lincoln, Neb., with a bachelor of social work degree and a 2005 graduate of Walla Walla University in College Place, Wash., with a master’s degree in social work. She is employed with the Family Guidance Center for Behavioral Healthcare as a therapist.
The future groom is a 2002 graduate of Central High School and is pursuing a degree in health physical education and exercise science at Missouri Western State University. He is employed with MWSU Campus Printing and Design Services as a Griffin courier.
Their wedding is to be at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sedalia, Mo. A reception will follow at 5 p.m. in the church gym.
