Bridget Shelton and Patrick Sigrist are engaged to be married. She is the daughter of Debbie and Les Shelton of Troy, Kan. He is the son of Glenda Sigrist of St. Joseph and the late Donald Sigrist. The future bride is a 2004 graduate of Troy High School and is employed with Homeward Bound Health Services as a preschool teacher. The future groom attended Central High School and is employed with Dishon Tires as a mechanic and tire specialist. Their wedding is to be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Troy Christian Church. Deanna K. Beeghly and Matthew J. Westrich are engaged to be married. She is the daughter of Jan and Roger Beeghly of Conrad, Iowa. He is the son of Gail Roxanne and John S. Patton of St. Joseph and James Alan Westrich Jr. of Silver Point, Tenn. The future bride is a 1994 graduate of Bcluw High School in Conrad and a 1998 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls with a business and health promotion degree. She is employed with PAR Electrical Contractors in Kansas City as a payroll manager. The future groom is a 1992 graduate of Lafayette High School. He is employed with the Riverside Department of Public Safety as a public safety officer. Their wedding is to be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Park Hill Christian Church in Kansas City. She is employed with Parents as Teachers in the Hickman Mills School District as a parent educator. The future groom is a 1993 graduate of Bishop LeBlond High School and a 1999 graduate of Kansas State University in Manhattan with a bachelor of architecture degree. He is employed with Goldberg, Sullivan & McCrerey as a production manager. The future bride is a 2003 graduate of North Andrew High School in Rosendale and a 2004 graduate of Vatterott College with a cosmetology degree. She is employed with J. Michael's as a hairstylist. The future groom is a 1990 graduate of East Buchanan High School in Gower, Mo., and a 1990 graduate of Platte County Area Vocational Technical School in Platte City, Mo., with a welding technology degree. He is employed with Shamrad as a welder. Their wedding is to be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, in the Krug Park rose garden. Leah Boswell and Daryl Williams were married July 12, 2008, at First Christian Church by Chase Peeples. She is the daughter of Jeanne and Bryan Boswell of Loveland, Colo. He is the son of Michelle Williams of St. Joseph. The bride was escorted by her father. Maid of honor was Kate Boswell, and bridesmaids were Erin Mack, Michelle Strack, LaTonya Williams and Arianna Davis-Williams. Best man was Dwayne Blakley, and groomsmen were Aaron Crittenden, Troy Chapman, Russell Book and Ronnie Grant. Others in the wedding party were: Lyric Williams, Ta'Shiya Ewing and Kiera Thomas, flower girls; Ben Boswell and Andre Crittenden, ushers; Ayla and Rhea Wade, candlelighters; and Tamala Williams and Beth Hogan, readers. A reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The rehearsal dinner was held at the D&G Restaurant. The newlyweds honeymooned in Las Vegas. They live in St. Joseph. She is a 1999 graduate of Loveland (Colo.) High School and a 2004 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville with a bachelor of science degree in physical/health education. She is employed with Robidoux Middle School as a girls health and physical education teacher. He is a 1997 graduate of Lafayette High School and a 2001 graduate of Missouri Western State University with a bachelor of science degree in physical education and health education. He is employed with Lafayette High School as a physical education teacher and is the men's basketball coach.

She is employed with the Mogilev School District as an English teacher. The future groom is a 2002 graduate of DeKalb High School and is a self-employed farmer in DeKalb. The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Wathena (Kan.) High School and a 2008 graduate of the Carpenters Apprenticeship Program in Kansas City as a union carpenter. Jill Webster and Thomas "TJ" Sampson were married May 31, 2008, at Civic Center Park by the Rev. Allan Bash. She is the daughter of John and Judy Webster of Rock Port, Mo. He is the son of Jeff and Carolyn Sampson of St. Joseph. The bride was escorted by her father. Matron of honor was Katie Shepherd, and bridesmaids were Nancy Kimsey, Jenny Rodgers, Jamie Stoner, Becca Meinders, Megan Saettele and Brooke Ashford. Best man was Tyson Noeth, and groomsmen were Josh Hollars, Josh Thomas, Andy Sampson, Derrick Combs, Nathan Heitman and Jeremy Hill. Others in the wedding party were. Mayzie Payeur and Mattingly Rodgers, flower girls; were Logan Rodgers and Oliver, the couple's dog, ring bearers; and Mike Tullis, Jeff Rodgers, and Jon Heard, ushers. A reception was held at the Stoney Creek Inn. A rehearsal dinner was held at La Dolce Vita at 36th Street Restaurant. The newlyweds honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica. They live in St. Joseph. She is a 2001 graduate of Rock Port R-II High School and a 2005 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville with a bachelor of science degree in pre-professional zoology. She attends the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and will graduate in May of 2009 with a medical degree. She then will do a residency in obstetrics and gynecology. He is a 2002 graduate of Benton High School and a 2005 graduate of Kansas City Kansas Community College with a degree in mortuary science. He is employed with Clark-Sampson Funeral Home as a funeral director and embalmer.

Mary Jenkins and Rusty Rippy were married Aug. 22, 2008, at the Buchanan County Courthouse by Judge Randall Jackson. She is the daughter of Ruth Ann (James) and Tom Jenkins of Savannah, Mo. He is the son of Barbara Rippy of Liberty, Mo. Maid of honor was Kim Coder, and bridesmaid was Michelle Blakely. Best man was Darren Blakely, and groomsmen were Chad Cottrill and Christian Cottrill. A reception was held Sept. 20, at Geneo's Hall. The newlyweds live in St. Joseph. She is a 1988 graduate of Savannah High School and is employed at the North Belt Wal-Mart as a department manager. He is a 1994 graduate of Northeast High School in Independence, Mo.

Charles and Jessie Borchardt of St. Joseph celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 4. They were married on that date in 1958 at the bride's home in Maitland, Mo. He retired from Wyeth Co. She retired from Wire Rope Corp. of America. A family gathering was hosted by their sons: Jeff and his wife, Jill, of Olathe, Kan.; Tracy and his friend, Shelly McClain, of St. Joseph; and David of Cabot, Ark. Also hosting were his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Donna of Overland Park, Kan. There are six grandchildren. A trip is being planned. Charles and Vickie (Sparks) Mueller of St. Joseph will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary at a reception at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at 3405 Pear St. Friends and relatives are invited. He worked for 20 years at Goetz Brewery as a machinist until they closed in 1976 and then worked at Seitz Packing as an engineer until they closed the kill floor. He retired from Heartland Regional Medical Center as a boiler engineer after 25 years of service. She was a cosmetologist for several years and retired in 1995 from American Family Insurance after 16 years of service. They also assist their son, who is owner of Chaun's Catering Inc., and who will be hosting the event.

GRAHAM, Mo. - Larry and Janet (Vandewater) Rosenbohm of Graham will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception and dance from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at The Countryside Bistro near Graham.
