Jack and Barbara Jennings celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 23.
Jack is retired from Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 45 and the City of St. Joseph Plumbing/Mechanical Inspector, while Barbara stays at home as a loving homemaker.
Their children are Kim Jennings, Jane (Roger) Pryor, and Carl (Nancy) Jennings. There are 10 grandchildren.
They are members of the King Hill Christian Church. The family recently enjoyed a vacation together to Southern Missouri.

Charles and Joan (Dyche) Kempf of Agency, Mo., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6 at the Remington Nature Center with an event hosted by Chuck, Debbie, Cheri, Jennifer, and Chuckie Kempf.
They were married June 6, 1959, at the Patee Park Baptist Church in St. Joseph.
Their children are Chuck and Cheri; there are two grandchildren.

She is the daughter of Darrel and Mendi Marriott of Troy, Kan. He is the son of Archie and Margaret Sutherland of Troy.
The future bride, a 2004 graduate of Troy High School, is pursuing a degree in dietetics with a minor in gerontology at Kansas State University. She will be starting her internship in the fall at Colmery-O’Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka, Kan.
The future groom, a 2004 graduate of Troy High School and a 2006 graduate of Highland Community College, is currently pursuing a degree in golf course management with a minor in business at Kansas State University.
Their wedding is to be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Wathena, Kan. A reception will follow at the Troy Community Building in Troy. Friends and relatives are invited.

Dennis and Diane McFarland of Blue Springs, Mo., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, K. Leigh McFarland, to Corey M. Casey, son of Michael and Arlene Casey of St. Joseph.
Leigh is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy with a doctorate of pharmacy degree in 2006. She is employed by the University of Kansas Hospital as a clinical pharmacist.
Corey is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law with both a doctorate of pharmacy and a juris doctorate. He will begin work as an attorney with Polsinelli Shughart, P.C. in the fall.
An Aug. 8, 2009, wedding is planned at Redemptorist Catholic Church at 6:30 p.m. with a reception at Loose Mansion.
