John and Dorothy Batchelder will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary September 12. They were married on that date in 1954 in Highland, Kan. They are the parents of three children: Michael Batchelder of Highland; Beverly (Terry) Montgomery of Sabetha, Kan.; and Patricia (Robert) Chauza of West Jordan, Utah. There are four grandchildren: Christi (Robert) Grant; Daniel, Alex and Ryan Montgomery; a deceased granddaughter, Bobbie Lyn Chauza; and a great-grandson, Wesley Grant. A family dinner is planned soon.

Bob and Nancy Berryhill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 5, 2009. They were married on that date in 1959 in Cameron, Mo. They are the parents of two children: Lisa (David) BeVelle of Chillicothe, Mo.; and Bob Jr. (Susan) Berryhill, Fairway, Kan. They have four grandchildren, Seth (Sarah) BeVelle, Grayson BeVelle, Megan Berryhill and Alexys Rae Berryhill; and two great-grandchildren, Bryton Taylor BeVelle and Mya Madeline Rose BeVelle. Bob and Nancy have lived in Cameron all of their lives and reside at 223 Dodge St., Cameron, MO 64429.

Charles Forney and Betty Forney, Denton, Kan., announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Brandi Elizabeth, to Jeremy Wayne Sonnenmoser, son of David Sonnenmoser and Jennifer Sonnenmoser of St. Joseph. The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Midway High School, and a 2006 graduate of Highland Community College with Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees. She also graduated summa cum laude in May 2008 from Missouri Western State University with a bachelor of science degree in psychology. She is employed in St. Joseph. The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of DeKalb High School and a 2006 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a bachelor of science degree in medical technology. He is currently employed with Cushing Memorial Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan. Their wedding is planned for October 10, 2009.

The couple was married in a private ceremony, Saturday, August 22, 2009, officiated by Pastor Jim Kelly at the Christian Church, Oregon, Mo. An outdoor ceremony and celebration will be held for family and friends on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Paradise Park, Oregon. The bride is a 2008 cosmetology graduate of Vatterott College and is currently employed at Guys & Dolls Hair Studio, Inc. in Maryville, Mo. The groom is a 2009 graduate of Local 83 Boilermakers Apprenticeship and is employed with Welding Services, Inc. out of Atlanta, Ga. He is currently operating at Iatan Generating Station, Kansas City, Mo. The couple resides in Holt County where their daughter, Jazmine Angelina, is enrolled in preschool at Mound City High School. They were married September 6, 1959, at the Christian Church in Forest City, Mo. Donald is retired from TWA. They both work for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Assistance Employees (FEMA DAEs). Their children are: Jim and Donna Gibson, Gower, Mo.; Linda Salfrank, Parkville, Mo.; Mike and Ramona Steele, St. Joseph; John and Carolyn Salfrank, Oregon, Mo.; and Steve and Heather Salfrank, Kansas City, Mo.
