Wedding

Bailey

Kristi Lee Suda of Kansas City, Mo., and Bret J. Bailey of Oregon, Mo., were joined in marriage on June 20, 2009, at the United Methodist Church in Oregon, Mo. The service was officiated by Pastor Roger Metscher. Parents are Jim and Norma Suda of Milligan, Neb., and B.J. and Janet Bailey of Oregon, Mo. The bride was escorted by her father and given away by both parents. The matrons of honor were Shelli Johnson and Julie Bartels, both sisters of the bride. Also attending Kristi was: Jaime Bailey, sister of the groom; and Jessie Feurbach and JoAnna Newcomb, friends of the bride. Kristi's personal attendant was Sherrianne Connelly, friend of the bride. The flower girl was Lillian Milne, cousin of the groom. The best man was E.J. Estabrook, friend of the groom. Also attending Bret was Trenton Johns, Travis Milne, Brad Million, and Mike Million, also friends of the groom. Guests were seated by ushers: Tim Hunziger, friend of the groom; and Tyler Bartels, brother-in-law of the bride. Ring bearers were: Wyett Williams, cousin of the groom; and Rylan Bartels, nephew of the bride. Greeters were Gracie Allee, Sarah Allee, and Westyn Williams, cousins of the groom. The rehearsal dinner was a catered meal held at the home of the groom's parents. The reception, dinner, and dance were held at the United Ballroom in St. Joseph. The couple honeymooned in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and now resides outside of Oregon, Mo.

Caldwell

Friends and family of Richard and Mary Caldwell request a card shower in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on September 9, 1959. Richard has retired from MoDOT and Mary from Energizer in Maryville. They have a son, Greg, and wife Lisa, and two grandchildren, Matthew and Natalie, of Columbia, Mo. Megan Ruth Batt and Christopher Jason Campbell were united in marriage at 2 p.m., June 27, 2009, at the First Baptist Church in Platte City, Mo. She is the daughter of Howard and Marsha Batt of Kewaunee, Wis. He is the son of Douglas and Barbara Campbell of St. Joseph. The newlyweds reside in Platte City.

Dudley and Hoffman

Natalie "Blair" Dudley and James "Jimmy" Joseph Hoffman, both of St. Joseph, are engaged to be married. She is the daughter of Macon and Susan Dudley of Rushville, Mo. He is the son of Mike and Carol Hoffman of Stewartsville, Mo. The bride-elect graduated from Benton High School in 2004 and from Missouri Western State University in 2007 with a degree in criminal justice. She is currently employed with the Platte County Sherriff's Department. The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Stewartsville High School and is employed with Herzog Contracting. An outdoor wedding will take place at the home of the bride-elect's parents on October 3, 2009. Friends are welcome to a 5:30 p.m. reception following the ceremony.

Erickson and Teschner

Dawn Elizabeth Erickson and Jeremy Todd Teschner, both of Lee's Summit, Mo., are engaged to be married. She is the daughter of Dennis and Karen Erickson of Eldon, Mo. He is the son of Rob and Lore Teschner of St. Joseph. The bride to be is a 2002 graduate of Eldon High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, where she obtained a degree in corporate fitness management. She is pursuing a degree in physical therapy. The future groom graduated from Benton High School in 1997 and earned a degree in physical therapy assistance from Missouri Western State University in 2005. He is currently employed with John Knox Village of Lee's Summit. Their wedding will take place at 4 p.m. October 10, 2009, at Camp Pin Oak in Lake of the Ozarks State Park. DaKota Elaine Fergison and Erik Kent Hopp, both of Luray, Mo., are engaged to be married. She is the daughter of Ladonna and Dean Fergison, Jr., of St. Joseph. He is the son of Pattie and Eldon Hopp of Revere, Mo. They will exchange vows at 4:30 p.m. in Agency, Mo., on October 3, 2009.

Gene and Pat Frye were married September 20, 1959, in Hope, Kan., at the First Baptist Church. They have four children: Rick Frye, wife Anne, Kansas City, Mo.; Kevin Frye, wife Linda, Overland Park, Kan.; Kim Shearer, husband Bruce, Boone, Iowa; and Craig Frye, wife Lisa, Smithville, Mo. There are 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. To celebrate, Gene has planned a surprise weekend for the two of them to a place they have never been. Donald and Norene Heath of St. Joseph will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married on September 17, 1944, at the First Baptist Church in King City, Mo. She is the former Norene Mallory. They farmed in the King City area for 55 years before moving to St. Joseph. He served in the Navy in the Philippines during World War II. She was a homemaker and piano teacher. Their children are: Steven Heath, who is deceased; Susan Heath, Overland Park, Kan.; and John and Janice Heath, Seward, Neb. Charlotte Marie Lindley and Jordan Keith Clements, both of St. Joseph, are engaged to be married. She is the daughter of Terry Lindley of King City, Mo., and Rick and Beth Singleton of Cameron, Mo. John and Charlene Perks of Elwood, Kan., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 12. They were married on that day in 1959.

She is the daughter of Dan and Marilyn Baker of St. Joseph, and Glenn and Julie Pritchard of Deer Park, Wash. He is the son of Diana Fleske of Great Bend, Kan., and Mike Erwin of Buffalo, Okla. Max and Judy Shipley Nelson of Bethany, Mo., were united in marriage September 20, 1959, at the First Christian Church in Burlington Junction, Mo. They are the parents of two sons: Todd and wife, Tamela, Hays, Kan.; and Tony and wife, Brenda, Bethany, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Toni Marie, Tyler, Garrett, and Bradley Nelson.
