A Missouri Western fraternity camps out in a cardboard box for 48 hours, but for a good cause. The brothers of Tau Kappa Epsilon are holding their 5th annual "Teke in a Box," a fundraising effort to help raise awareness for the homeless. The fraternity will be out in front of Hy-Vee until midnight Saturday night to raise money for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater St. Joseph. Cash Donations or non-perishable food items are being collected at both front entrances at Hy-Vee.
Last year the TKE's raised more than $3,000 dollars; this year they hope to raise that much plus 1,000 pounds of non-perishable or canned food items. The Second Harvest Food Bank serves Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas in an effort to fight hunger.
