Time to wake up

We continue to be fed a political propaganda campaign to sell the Iraq War. Can you believe the government has spent millions of your and my tax dollars to hire PR firms to put the spin on the Iraq war news? When we get to vote in November, should we vote for more of the same? Wake up, America.

Pump pain

When I left St. Joseph Saturday morning gas here had just jumped 10 cents to $3.59. When I got to Columbia, Mo., I found out the gas there had just dropped 10 cents to $3.29 cents. Isn’t there something very wrong with this picture?

Tax and tax

John and Cindy McCain might be in bigger trouble than just forgetting the number of houses that they own. If Barack Obama gets into the White House, they’ll probably have to sell some of those homes to pay his crazy tax increases.

All scrambled

I fail to see how direct television is government mandated. And if we don’t have a direct TV converter we can’t watch TV. But we can’t have a government-mandated health insurance? Could someone please explain that? I see where our priorities are obviously.

Editor’s note: Direct TV is an optional satellite television service that consumers can purchase if they wish. The government mandate is for analog television signals to be sent in digital format early next year.

Wonderful

I want to thank Rep. Martin Rucker for the directory and interim report that he sent out to all of us this week. It’s wonderful. And it’s actually something that can be used by the average constituent. And I just feel that a lot of work and a lot of common sense went into this. And it just makes me proud that we have such a representative who would do such a good thing for the people of St. Joseph.

Low rollers

I’m calling in about the amendment on the ballot they want to vote on. I live in a neighborhood here in St. Joseph where just about everybody in my neighborhood goes to the casino. And no one in this neighborhood that I know of, can spend $500 in two hours. They don’t have that kind of money. We might go with $5 or $10 or something like that.

Cream or sugar?

“Time to come” home doesn’t want us to be in a war with the terrorists. I guess they would rather that we have more 9/11, more terrorist attacks in this country. Oh, that’s right, if Barack Obama is elected president he’s going to have all the terrorists sitting around the campfire holding hands singing Kumbaya. Or maybe he’ll have a little tea party where they can sit around sipping tea and eating crumpets or maybe have his arugula sandwiches and sip on Perrier.

And the Oscar goes to.....Michelle Obama, for her protrayal of an American woman.

"Riveting performance, almost sounded real"
"The fake tears looked so real"
"She almost sounded like a real American"
"The quiver in her voice almost made her sound genuine"
"You could hardly tell how fake she really is"

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it was quite an acting performance last night by the same woman who less than a year ago made public statements like "I hate America and what it stands for". But this is the Obama way, give the people what they want at that particular moment. Americans want a leader who loves their country so Obama puts on an act and pretends he does. These people are a joke and the Democrats should be embarrassed to have them represent their party.

Cream or Sugar- Exactly 100%, thanks for the visualization.

Rax- You know I don't get those genuine warm and fuzzy feelings from Obama Mama either.

Pump pain - The glass could be half full. Yesterday in KC gas was $3.59, and here in St. Joe it was $3.44.

Rax--Provide a citation for your "quote" from Michelle Obama. She never said I hate America.
The quote was "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am REALLY proud of my country". (AP Feb 20, 2008).

However, one of the candidates DID say "I didn't really love America until I was deprived of her company." Who would that be?--John McCain (Fox News March 13, 2008).

I can understand the comment from McCain, as I also didn't realize what I had here in America until I lived in Saudi Arabia for a year. I still love to travel, but there's no place like home!

RockChalk,
Oops, sorry you're right, that is what she said. I just thought I'd use the Obama philosophy of telling lies, mis-quoting and then backtracking when confronted.

For RockChalk
Michelle only put "REALLY" in her "first time proud" speech the SECOND time around for this disgusting comment. See:

Jimmy Johns makes great sandwiches.

At least I think so.

Ummmmmmm

Anyway, what were we talking about?

I agree with rush620. There's nothing like living in a foreign country to make you realize how precious America is.

On "Time to wake up":
Please don't worry your little head about all of the tax dollars being spent on these "worthless" wars. When we get the next true savior, Obama, in, there will be plenty of tax money to go around to wars and liberal special interests. Please thank your local middle and upper class for all the extra spending money because that will be his democratic taxing target I assure you.
And RockChalk:
You can spew "hate" without saying the word. She hated America until Mr. Wonderful Barack got involved. Watch the video that Wright_Winger supplied for you and read between the lines of her tone and words. Leave it to a liberal with a KU screen name to misinterpret the true meaning of what one would say.
