From: Delta, UT
Taking a break from riding after a wonderful Mexican lunch in the library.
Made it across the 88 mile desert this morning. We started really well until the headwinds kicked in. It slowed us down quite a bit but we still made good time.
The desert is totally without people. Somehow they graze some cattle there. As we went by, a few cattle chased us for about a mile. We did see one German cyclist going the other way.
It is totally amazing how far you can see and how clear the air is here. I am sure the camera will not do the area justice but I keep taking photos anyway.
Hope to make it to Eureka, UT today (it is getting hot out) and hopefully we will be in Wyoming tomorrow.
Give me an H! Are you actually reading your blogs? Are you still out there? Gene wants you to know he has 2 maps in the pharmacy to track your were abouts. Jan L says HI and hopes you make the complete trip without getting hurt. Joe wants to know if your legs are hurting yet? He is going to eat a cheese burger in your honor. What out for the Yeti;-)
