5 charged in BB vandalism spree

Luke Spicer also is in the Buchanan County jail, held on a $10,000 bond. Kiefer Habrock is charged but has been released with a summons for the crimes.

Damon Kidwell and James Johnson remain in the Buchanan County jail held on $10,000 bonds.

Four male suspects are now charged in the spree of BB gun vandalisms that occurred the past couple of weeks in St. Joseph neighborhoods.

Three men and one juvenile are charged with second degree property damage.

19-year-old Damon Kidwell, 20-year-old James Johnson, 18 year old Keifer Habrock and 20-year-old Luke Spicer allegedly participated in a rash of vandalisms around st. Joseph last week. St. Joseph Police say there were numerous reports of people in two cars shooting out car windows with a handgun style b-b gun. 60-70 reports of glass damage are being worked by police at this time

Officers report that two vehicles, a white sport utility vehicle and a white convertible, were seen traveling around the city with the occupants shooting out car windows with a handgun-style BB gun.

Because of the large number of victims and suspects, detectives and supervisors have been assigned to the cases.

Anyone with information related to the crimes is asked to call the St. Joseph Police department’s detective division during normal business hours at 271-5336 or the TIPS hotline at 238-TIPS.

The un-named juvenile remains in juvenile detention while Johnson, Spicer and Kidwell remain in custody at the Buchanan COunty jail with $10,000 bonds. Keifer has been released and issued a summons in the case.
