The writer’s strike is over, hurray! Our beloved TV shows will return to us shortly, and life can go on as normal again.
Although, I have to admit— and maybe I’m the only one— but my TV-viewing life really wasn’t that interrupted by the strike.
My TV was still on every waking moment, it was just had reruns on instead of new shows. And I didn’t have to worry if I wasn’t going to be at home and would miss Heroes or Ugly Betty (I don’t have Tivo, so I still have to worry about things like this).
I didn’t miss the Emmys, or the late-night shows, or, really, even the shows I do watch regularly.
To me, the writer’s strike felt like any summer TV season, when all my favorite shows are in reruns and it doesn’t matter if I’m home to watch them.
But again, maybe that’s just me. Did anyone not feel the affect of the strike? Or were you all waiting and praying for the strike to be over?
