U.S. Senator John McCain gave his word of a better economy under his administation Thursday in a Kansas City appearance.

Senator mMccain stopped at Union Station to discuss popular issues and answer questions from Missouri voters. The two major topics of the day were the hurting economy and the war in Iraq. Mccain also discussed the urgency and hopefully quick recovery of the economy and proposed solutions to high gas prices by breaking away from gas taxes and relying more on offshore drilling.

Mccain reassured the people of Missouri that he sees a bright future ahead.

"I can inspire a generation of Americans to serve a cause greater than their self interest. I don't believe there is anything more noble. and I believe America's greatest days are ahead of us. These are difficult and challenging times and I have a record of always putting my country first. "

Other topics discussed by voters and the presumptive Republican presidential candidate ranged from health care, education and culture.
