Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder signed legislation Tuesday afternoon honoring Missouri's fallen soldiers. Representatives from the Army and Air National Guard units watched as Kinder signed Senate Bill 806 at Mayes Armory.

The bill requires that all flags at state facilities be flown at half-staff when a Missouri armed forces member is killed in the line of duty. Kinder said the legislation will serve as a reminder of the sacrifices the armed forces make to defend the country. The Missouri Veterans Commission will be responsible for notifying the Governor of the deaths.
