Two more Red Cross volunteers hit the road Tuesday to help flooding victims in need. The two volunteers headed to Kahoka, Mo., near Kirksville, to give extra support to residents affected by flooding from the Mississippi River. Once they get there, they will be providing food and shelter to those who have lost their homes in the rising waters.

Linda Schmidt said she is no stranger to aiding disaster relief efforts. She spent time working in the "chaos" as she calls it of Hurricane Katrina. She said volunteering provides people that extra support they need in rough times.
