Tractor Cruise Hits Streets Saturday
by Angela Smith
Friday, June 27, 2008

Tractors started gearing up Friday for the sixth annual Show-Me Tractor Cruise that will hit the streets Saturday.

There are 331 tractors registered for the event, which benefits Camp Quality, a camp for children with cancer.

Ten states are being represented which include Kansas, Nebraska, Wisconsin and California.

Director of the cruise, Tom Brand, said they expected to raise more than $25,000 this year for Camp Quality.

He said that money comes from the many farmers who share a lot of compassion for the cause.

If you'd like to catch the cruise Saturday, they will be at Savannah High School at 9:45 a.m., Krug Park at 11:45 a.m. and Corby Pond at 2 p.m.

You can also join them for donation-only dinner at 5 p.m. at Derr Equipment.
