Jamie Buczek rolls out a rug at the new Woodbine Road location of her home decor store, Jamie’s Secret Garden. The store will reopen Saturday.

After 20 years, Jamie’s Secret Garden has found a new home.

The store, which has relocated from St. Joseph’s downtown, is like walking through the pages of a decorating magazine. From floor to ceiling and wall to wall, each room is filled with luxurious and tranquil colors, textures and smells.

“I can’t even tell you how happy we are,” said Jamie Buczek about relocating her business.

Ms. Buczek’s home decor and accent shop is moving to 811 N. Woodbine Road. It will be open at the new location on Saturday.

“God just opened doors and we walked through them,” she said.

Jamie’s Secret Garden first opened its doors two decades ago in DeKalb, Mo. Ms. Buczek said she learned the business from her grandmother, Mary Bratcher, and her antique store. Before the move, it was located at 918 Francis St.

She has carried over her love and knowledge of all things old in her eclectic design style. Jamie’s features home furnishings, artwork and permanent floral design.

While Ms. Buczek and her four design staffers prefer the old world French country style, they are open to many elements and tastes.

“We specialize in traditional and have all sorts of price points,” she said.

Jamie’s Secret Garden is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and is closed on Sundays. For more information, call 364-3535.
