It may sound confusing but J.C. Penney is having a grand re-opening for its store and a grand opening for Sephora, the store located inside their East Hills Shopping Center location.

The mall has been undergoing a huge transformation since earlier this year and the large department store is the first of the anchor stores to unveil its progress. One of its many additions was Sephora, an independent beauty counter located inside the store. The large black and white boutique can be clearly seen from inside the mall.

The big ceremony with a grand ribbon cutting by the St. Joseph Area Chamber of Commerce will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the store.

On the other end of town, the Sprint Store has been approved by the city to open. The new store is located at 5403 N. Belt Highway. It is still unclear when exactly it will open and if its opening will affect the cell phone company’s other location in front of the Hy-Vee Shopping Plaza.

But the small building is just the beginning of progress for its larger neighbor. Buffalo Wild Wings is set to open later this month and looks pretty close to an opening date from the outside, and untrained, eye.
