Court costs are not included in the figures below. The usual court cost is $106.50 for misdemeanors and $283.50 for felonies. Added into this are other costs, such as the cost of arrest for a charge of driving while intoxicated. The additional fees can bring the court costs up to $400 or more.

Meers, 20, 710 Thompson Ave., for three years after pleading guilty to count II, a felony charge of receiving stolen property; must serve 20 days shock detention; must not possess or consume alcohol or controlled substances; must submit to drug testing; must complete GED; must have no contact with Ty Smith, Johnathan Kennedy or Crystal Butler; must perform 50 hours community service and must pay restitution of $1,100; count I, a felony charge of second-degree burglary, was dismissed by the prosecutor.

Bobby R. Ruff Jr., 19, Kansas City, for three years after pleading guilty to a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine; must serve 15 days shock detention; given credit for five days already served; must not possess or consume alcohol or controlled substances; must submit to drug testing; must complete high school education and must perform 50 hours community service.
