Nothing official yet, but talk among Democrats is that vice presidential nominee Joe Biden will make a St. Joseph stop during a two-day visit to Missouri.
The Obama-Biden campaign confirms only that Sen. Biden will be in Missouri Thursday and Friday, and that his topic will be the economy
In a Monday night press statement about the Missouri visit, the campaign said: “Barack Obama and Joe Biden have a plan to offer 95 percent of America’s working families tax relief, keep good paying jobs from going overseas and strengthen our economy. John McCain is only offering four more years of the same failed Bush economic policies that have sent Missouri’s jobs overseas and burdened middle class families.”
Last week, the Republican nominee, Mr. McCain, made a Kansas City speech. The Democratic nominee’s wife, Michelle Obama, also campaigned in Kansas City.
Both vice presidential candidates, Mr. Biden and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, went to St. Louis on Thursday for their only campaign debate.
Mr. Biden, a Delaware senator, canceled two days of campaign appearances this week because of his mother-in-law’s death on Sunday.
