From: Bridgeport, NE
Left Wyoming and finally dropped below 4,000 ft for the first time since we left California.
Things are starting to green up around here and level out.
Made it about 160 miles yesterday.
I had mailed a package of replacement tires and tubes along with a few other odds and ends to Mitchel, NE. After hustling to get there we made it there before the Post Office closed. At first they told us that they had not received the package, but after looking around they finally were able to find it.
I've been having trouble with getting wires from the retreads, from the semis, in the tubes of my tires. I had packed some tires that didn't fit my bike so getting these helped.
My front tire is a little worn, so the next flat I'll probably change the tire and tube.
They are predicting we are going to get hammered with heads winds today at 20-30 mph.
This is the first time we've had to deal with straight on heads winds on this trip.
Today will probably be a tough day if the forecast holds up, but we'll try to pluck through it and do the best we can.
