Tour of Missouri Days Away
by Angela Smith
Thursday, September 4, 2008

The Tour of Missouri is right around the corner.

It will begin right here in St. Joseph Monday, September 8. The race starts at 12:30 p.m. and cyclists will ride down four hours to Kansas City. The riders continue to bike down to southern Missouri and then through central Missouri before ending up in St. Louis on the Sept. 14.

More than 120 cyclists will compete each day to wear an official Tour of Missouri jersey.

Governor Matt Blunt is also asking for people to volunteer to help out with the statewide event.

For route maps, host cities and rider information visit www.tourofmissouri.com.

The thing i thought interesting is that, modot runs out and fixes potholes, and cleans up the town because these bicycles are coming though. hmmmm..something that should have been done all along.
