This St. Joseph metal-quintet have come a ways from recording low-quality demos in a basement with three microphones. They’ve hired manager Pat Cody from Cody Ground Support and are recording a new album, “The Deconstruction Theory,” while continuing to gain fans in St. Joe and Kansas City, along with technical sharpness. “We’ve written a lot more complex songs,” says drummer Shawn Courter. The group performs at the KC Rock and Metal Fest at 8 p.m. tonight at the Beaumont Club in Kansas City, where original guitarist, Kyle Rehm, will play his final Foul Taste of Freedom show and new guitarist, Will Trigg, will play his first. This shouldn’t disrupt much of the band’s flow, given their openness to all things metal. “Every time someone brings a riff to the table, it’s always different,” Courter says.
