St. Joseph’s Andre Wilson won the U.S.B.C. bantamweight title with a unanimous decision over Alex Baba.

Wilson won the 10-round fight by scores of 98-92, 99-91, 99-91.

The only fall in the bout came in the 10th, but it was an obvious slip.

Heavyweight Galen Brown scored an unanimous decision over Jason Nicholson in a six-round bout. Brown improved to 31-9-1.

Byron Polley, another St. Joseph heavyweight, got a quick and easy win, too. Polley earned a TKO over Cruz Quintana.

Polley got the victory just 1:56 into the second round. The win moves Polley’s record to 23-8-1.

St. Joseph’s Earl Walker and Alex De Leon also recorded wins.

The main event featured a U.S.B.C. bantamweight title bout between

Another local boxer, Rob Calloway, failed in his bid for the WBO Inter-Continental Crusierweight title, which was held in Hamburg, Germany.

Calloway fell in a TKO in the third round to Alexander Alexeev, an undefeated Russian boxer (17-0) who fights out of Hamburg.

Calloway now is 70-9-2.
