KEARNEY, Mo. — A Lathrop, Mo., man died Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Medical personnel pronounced Daniel Durcharme, 60, dead at the intersection of Missouri Route C and 164th Street, about five miles northwest of Kearney.

The Highway Patrol said Mr. Durcharme drove a 2001 Kia into the intersection without stopping at the stop sign. Another man from Lathrop, Joseph Zukovich, 53, driving a 2009 GMC Sierra pickup, slammed into the Kia on the driver’s side.

Medical personnel transported Mr. Zukovich, with what the patrol described as minor injuries, to Liberty (Mo.) Hospital. He remained hospitalized Wednesday in good condition, said Matt Smithmier, a hospital spokesman.
