Sylvia says: R.W. Knudsen Pomegranate Juice sparkles

Although it's hard not to give into all the tempting holiday goodies this time of year, it's best to try to eat as healthy as possible, whenever possible. It's the easiest way to keep from feeling depressed when January comes around, anyway. But I don't think you have to reduce yourself to eating celery and tofu exclusively. Simply, if there is a choice of something delicious and healthy versus delicious and unhealthy, pick the first. The R.W. Knudsen Family has come out with a new drink that fits the first category with their Sparkling Pomegranate Juice. In case you're not up on all your super foods, pomegranate juice is usually on the list. The juice contains high levels of antioxidants - higher than most other fruit juices, red wine or tea. There also have been reports that pomegranate juice can reduce blood pressure and cholesterol by just drinking one glass a day. And the taste? It's something like cranberry, only a little sweeter and more fruity tasting. The pretty red color makes it a nice choice for holiday party drinks too. And although it is promoted as a non-alcoholic treat, it does make a great alcoholic one, too, when you add a little tequila and Triple Sec or vodka to the mix.

The bottom line: It's festive looking, good-tasting and good for you. R.W. Knudsen Family beverages are available nationwide at natural food stores and the natural section of your local grocery for $1.99 to $2.49.
