The 3rd annual "Polar Bear Plunge" will take place this Saturday at Lake Contrary.
The plunge is held every year to raise money for Special Olympics athletes. Last year more than 70 "bears" took the plunge - raising more than $16,000 dollars.
St. Joe Now's very own master control operator, Anthony Bossler, will be taking part. Come Saturday, Anthony and the rest of the wannabe "bears" will have to dip at least waist deep into Lake Contrary. The goals for this year are to have 150 polar bears participate and raise $30,000 dollars. If you would like to help Anthony and the Special Olympics, check out his fundraising page.
