Absentee Voting Has begun
by Gretchen Mollenhour
Thursday, February 26, 2009

The municipal election, April 7th, is fast approaching. and now, absentee ballots are available.

Voting has begun at the Buchanan County clerk's office on the first floor of the courthouse. There are various races in rural Bucahnan County.

Voters will also be asked to vote on the Saint Joseph school board's 63 cent levy that funds teacher salaries and school maintenance. A yes vote would also eliminate the sunset clause on the levy and make it permanent. Another school issue will be put before voters asking for a 45 million dollar bond to help build two new elementary schools.

If you have any questions about absentee procedures, contact the county clerk's office at 816-271-1412.
