Another Bank Robbery Occurs

Another local bank robbery Thursday morning in St. Joseph, this time at Midwest Federal Savings in the 1900 block of Frederick Avenue. it happened around 10 am.

According to police captain Kevin Castle, the suspect walked into the bank and handed a teller a note. He then left and was able to get away on foot with an undisclosed amount of loose cash.

Captain Castle said the suspect is a thin white male in his late 30s, about 5'10" with dark hair. He was wearing a ball cap, dark shirt and tan shorts at the time of the robbery.

Castle says this incident closely resembles several other robberies in the past few weeks and urges anyone with information to call the St. Joseph Police TIPS hotline at 238-TIPS.
