Council to re-vote on rejected funds
by Clinton Thomas
Thursday, June 4, 2009

The St. Joseph City Council will hold a special meeting at 4:30 p.m. today in the council chambers on the third floor of City Hall.

The council will vote on an emergency ordinance to authorize an amendment to the Consolidated Plan 2008 Actoin Plan for CDBG funding so the city can receive more than $475,000 in federal stimulus money. On Monday, the council voted 4-3 in favor of the bill, but emergency ordinances need six votes to pass.

The city must submit the amended plan by Friday to receive funding.
