Heartland Offers Health Products Online
by Sarah Lawson
Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Heartland Regional Medical Center offers more than just medical services. It's making it easier for patients to purchase health care related items online.

The new online store, at www.shopmyhealthychoices.com, offers health and wellness products such as specialized medical equipment, nutritional supplements, exercise equipment, canes and walkers.

Shoppers can browse by health conditions for specific items related to a disease and browse through categories to find available products. Pat Dillion, Heartland's Retail Director, says Heartland Officials worked with Paquin, a retail consulting company, to make this online store available.

"These are products maybe hard to find, aren't available real readily, or if it's a customer or patient who is maybe limited to their house and have a hard time getting out, they can go right online, order products and they'll be shipped right to their house. It's a convenience for our customers, helps them find the right products at the right time when they need it. It helps us step beyond the walls of the health care so we can reach out and help the community."
