"Look at me! Look at me! Look at me now! It is fun to have fun, but you have to know how!"

And fun there will be at the Robidoux Landing Playhouse with The Cat in the Hat, Horton and all of your favorites from Dr. Seuss. This weekend, 45 students with the Robidoux Resident Theater music camp will be presenting "Seussical Jr.," a condensed version of the Broadway hit "Seussical the Musical."

"It's a trip down memory lane, of growing up with Dr. Seuss," says Carol Meyers, Robidoux Resident Theater education director and board member. "Everyone can identify with one of the characters somewhere along the line. It's delightful, fun and zany."

Ms. Meyers played the part of Cat in the Hat in RRT's "Seussical the Musical" three years ago, which she says is very similar to this version. In fact, Janet Alexander, the RRT costumer, has downsized some of the adult costumes for the children.

They also have tried to stay true to the books with the costuming and set designs, using all the Seussical colors and odd shapes, says Connie Willis, RRT director. Of course, the characters should be very familiar, with favorites such as the Grinch, Thing One and Thing Two and of course, the Cat in the Hat all making appearances. The music will be less familiar, unless you've seen the adult version, Ms. Willis says, but you will recognize the words.

"They come right out of the book," she says.

"Seussical Jr." will be presented at the Robidoux Landing Playhouse, 103 W. Francis. The show lasts about an hour and a half with an intermission. Tonight's show is sold out, but tickets are still available for 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. June 27 and 2 p.m. June 28. Ticket prices are $16 for adults and $9 for children by reservation only. Call the RRT office at 232-1778, or purchase them online at http://rrtstjoe.org/.
