A new addition will be coming soon to the Christopher S. "Kit" Bond Science And Technology Incubator.
Imulan Bio Therapudics has announced their formation of a new company, called Veterinary Cancer Therapudics. The company will be located within the Missouri Western incubator and will be creating a new laboratory for their studies.
Imulan studies therapudic immunology and veterinary medicines for companion and livestock animals.
The company is moving to the area to be within what is known as the "animal health corridor".which is between Columbia, Missouri and Manhattan, Kansas where companies do about 36 percent of the animal health nutrition business in the world.
Gary Clapp, president and CEO of the Institute For Industrial And Applied Life Sciences at Western says that Imulan is the incubator's first official tenant.
He says he and Imulan's CEO, Dr. Craig Woods, are looking forward to the connections and collaborations this tenant could bring.
Imulan is expected to occupy the new space the first part of April.
