Troy students howl at the moon

“The Curse of the Werewolf” will be presented at 1 p.m. Nov. 12, and at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at Troy High School. Tickets may be purchased at the door, $3 for adults and $2 for students.

Those involved include: Tyler Carskaddon (the strong man), Haley Whetstine (Siamese twin), Hannah Simpson (the mummy queen), Daniel Dominguez (multiple Doppleganger roles), Steve Clary (the potential werewolf), Kia Grable (the fiance), Leslie Ostertag (baroness, the vampire), Ashley Miller (Madame Clara Voyant), Whitlea Klaus (the tattooed lady), Garrett Fenley (the monster), Amanda Clary (backstage), Emily Cluck (student director), Brittany Clary (owner of the carnival troupe), Desiree Weatherford (belly dancer), Kenneth Tharman (Dr. Frank Einstein), Kayla Hixson (Siamese twin), Mackenzie Clary (bearded lady), Jared Meng (sword swallower), Bailey Morgan (props), Tanner Weishaar (backstage), Tanna Meng (backstage), Elliott Barnthson (special effects), Tiffany Weatherford (peasant), Katie Smith (peasant and student director), Hannah King (peasant), Paige Fenley (peasant), Alyssa Burchett-Burtis (peasant), Micah Bembrick (backstage), Hana Speaks (stage manager), Eli Smith (sound), Pete Masters (lights), Chris Tharman (peasant) and Reece Simpson (backstage). The director is Martha-Jean Rockey.

Workshop for Women at Wyatt Park

RiverSong Chorus will hold its third annual A Capella Workshop for Women from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 7 at Wyatt Park Baptist Church, 27th and Mitchell. Pre-registration cost for the workshop is $20 and registration at the door is $25. All guests will work with Kim Kraut, a professional voice coach who has worked with students worldwide. Set sail at the opera

The Lyric Opera of Kansas City will present the Gilbert and Sullivan tale of love, rank and birthright, “H.M.S. Pinafore,” on Nov. 6, 8, 11, 14 and 15. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m., Wednesday curtain is 7:30 p.m. and Sunday is a 2 p.m. matinee.
