Local companies and cattle producers are gathering next Monday for a fundraiser to benefit Soaring Hope Equestrian Center — and to learn some of the latest information on livestock handling.
A benefit auction and free dinner is set for 6 p.m. Monday at 9380 S.E. Hillyard Road. Colin Foster, who is involved in the cattle industry and also serves as program director for Soaring Hope, said local producers and companies have stepped up to donate for the auction.
“It’s crazy,” he said. “I do not know how many boxes of hats I’ve got.”
In addition, the Stockmanship and Stewardship program will feature Curt Pate and Ron Gill using live cattle demonstrations to teach effective stockmanship skills and provide the latest information regarding livestock handling and performance.
