IHP employee found dead by other workers.

St. Joseph Police and OSHA are awaiting autopsy results to determine how a worker was killed at Lifeline Foods, Thursday.

Police and fire units were called to the South 11th Street plant at 9:38pm Thursday, after the body of 36 year old Christopher Caraway of Stewartsville was discovered at the facility. Caraway worked for IHP Industrial and was on the roof at the time of the accident. It was believed the accident happened sometime between 4:30 p.m., when he was last seen with another employee, and 9 p.m., when employees discovered the body.

Bert Farrish, CEO of Lifeline said Friday, "we want all the facts, it will take awhile."

Lifeline employs about 130 workers at the St. Joseph plant that produces food products and ethanol.
