H1N1 vaccine clinics are coming to Doniphan County.
The clinics are open to any Doniphan County resident who falls into one of the following priority groups: pregnant women, people who live with or provide care for infants under 6 months, health care and emergency medical services personnel, and people 6 months through 24 years of age.
Clinics will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Wathena USD 406; from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Monday at Elwood USD 486; from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Doniphan West South USD 111; from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Doniphan West North USD 111 (at Allen Fieldhouse); from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Community College; and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Troy USD 429.
The school districts may send consent forms home prior to the clinics. No child under 18 will be given a vaccination without a signed copy of the consent form from a parent or legal guardian. You also may print and complete a copy of the consent form at www.dpcountyks.com (click on the "health department" link).
The clinics are being sponsored by the Doniphan County Health Department/Home Health Agency, the Doniphan County school districts and Highland Community College.
