It might have seemed a little windy for most projects on Friday but not at Pickett school!

The Fifth and Sixth grades at Pickett thought the conditions were perfect to unveil a moving sculpture that is powered by the wind.

Collaborative artist and sculptor, Kevin Reese along with the performing arts association and thte students built a permanent kenetic or moving sculpture that was completed Friday.

Reese has designed and built 62 such installations in 14 states across the country and all are just a little different.

Reece says he enjoys working with the kids and showing them a different side of art. He told the students that their moving art will be like life; somedays there's a lot going on and it will be moving fast, other days not so much, and it will rest quietly.
