Dean Atkins of Savannah, Mo., will celebrate his 79th birthday on October 7. He is a former resident of Rosendale, Mo.

Dean was born on October 7, 1930, in Fillmore, Mo. He married Pat Atkins in 1955. She passed away August 11, 2009.

He has two children, Mike Atkins and Lori Goodson. There are four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
