FOXy men

When someone on FOX gets passionate over the Marxist Socialist takeover of our government, they call it a hate speech. When Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, David Letterman or Bill Maher or any of the other Obama spokesmen suggest violence on Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity or O’Reilly or stoop to crude name calling, well they are just informing the public. At least the FOX men stick to the issues. When Matthews, Olbermann and the like can’t argue, they go straight to personal attacks.

Defend the flag

You know if President Obama wants to be a hero to the American people, then why doesn’t he come out and support some of these people who are being fired, badgered or bullied over displaying the American flag?

Just ask

I’m calling in about the article “Too late” about the guy who can’t find any restaurants that open before 8 a.m. in the morning. I know several that open before 8 a.m. in the morning. No. 1 is the Dinky Diner on Garfield Avenue, No. 2 is Betty’s Cafe, No. 3 is the Spot Cafe. And I’m sure there are many, many more if the man would look around and ask other people. But I guarantee you that I would recommend the Dinky Diner, definitely.

Just look

I was calling in about the “Too late.” What’s the deal? You should try the Kirkpatrick Cafe Downtown at 614 Francis St. We open at 7 a.m. seven days a week. And they serve breakfast all day long.

So there

I’m just calling in regard to the answer to the hateful and FOX News. If they would just open up their ears you would find out that Glenn Beck and some of the others are not prejudiced against anybody — they’re just telling the facts. And they also prove it.

Divided we fall

I have one thing to say to everybody in this world. It doesn’t matter if you consider yourself a Democrat or Republican or a Christian. In America, united we stand and divided we fall. We’ve been a divided country for a couple of years now. And if you look around, we’re falling.

No, thank you

Thank you News-Press for putting in the paper about “Urgent care hit hard by flu cases.” My husband had a doctor’s appointment for a checkup today. It made me realize that I had better find out what is going on. They said the clinic was full of sick people. I canceled his appointment.

when some pothead dirty hippie types got together and wondered, "i bet we can run this place better than the old men in charge now," i wonder what they were thinking. far as i can tell they have done just one thing, driven this country deeper apart than before. look around hippies, you're ruining everything around you. do us all a favor and go away for good.

JAFO,

I would argue that the country is no more divided now than it was during the Bush years (or Clinton years). The difference is perception.

During the Bush years, liberals complained about the country being driven apart, but conservatives didn't notice because their group was getting its way. Under Obama, the opposite is true. Conservatives are the angry ones now, while liberals are happy because they're getting the things they want.

Conservatives and liberals are no further apart than before. The power has merely changed hands.

Just Saying.......

The difference is that Obama is trying to change our economic system and our culture. This is something Clinton/Bush/Bush/others did not do.

I would suggest many liberals are getting something they did not want....it just hasn't blossomed yet.

And it sounds like you are in that group if you think it's a matter of power merely changing hands.

Obama is trying to do some things that are virtually irreversable. For instance his talk about the "one world" approach. If he takes 1/2 of the wealth of this nation and distributes it to Africa (as he would like to do) that is not something you can undo.

Clinton had a number of liberal approaches but he wasn't doing anything irreversable....even though they were liberal. Bush spent too much money but didn't make committments that were permenant.

Obama has fooled some of the people.......question is it some of the time or all of the time.

rk........my point was the big picture....NAFTA is pretty bad but Shira law (that Obama would entertain) is worse.

Obama has clearly stated that he wants "redistribution" of wealth. He believes we owe the Africans what ever it takes to make them "equal".

On one to 10 Clinton was a 3....Obama a 10.

I am so tired of hearing how we need to make other countries more wealthy! How about we make Americans more wealthy, by giving us back OUR JOBS AND LIVES!!!!

I am sick to death of sending our money to foreign countries(any of them) when we need it right here. If that makes me selfish, so be it. This has gotten out of hand, and needs to stop ASAP.
