Ralph Garbowski of St. Joseph celebrated his 100th birthday on October 18.
He was born in Jamno, Poland, in 1909 and arrived in the United States in 1949.
Ralph attributes his longevity to activity and garlic. He is an active gardener and loves his bees; he made their hive entry easier to produce honey. He is also an avid reader of the St. Joseph News-Press and Gwiazda Polarna news.
Ralph has relatives in Canada, Alaska, California, Colorado, Florida, Missouri and Texas.
