Well, it was bound to happen.
Eventually my arrogance and trash talk would catch up to me. I’ve been doing it ever since I battered Andy in Pick ’em from the time we started last year, and rightfully, I attempted to beat Andy’s self-worth into hibernation.
Instead, my friend continued to plug away and found a 10-0 week last week.
Well done, sir.
Now, Andy holds a tenuous one-game lead with the toughest slate of games to pick from this week. I hope to regain the edge this week, but it could be an adventure for all of us.
Last year, we started this feature in the thick of the regular season which tends to include the bulk of conference schedules with a heaping of white-knuckle matchups. It appears this week should start that trend for the 2009 season.
And hopefully resume the trend of my dominance over Andy.
