Get those GPS units out and get eady, it's time to go treasure hunting!
The Pony Express Cache Raiders are hosting their annual Jesse James Cache Bash II, Saturday.
Geocaching, a form of modern day treasure hunting, uses gps-satellite coordinates. Players in-put coordinates found on geocaching.com into their global positioning receiver which then leads them to hidden containers, called geocaches.
Steve Allen, event organizer, says adventure seekers will follow routes throughout St. Joseph. Coordinates will be given at each location. Mr. Allen says he's anticipating more than 100 people from the four state area to take part.
The Jesse James Cache Bash beings at 11:00 a.m., September 26th at the Pony Express Stables. There will be food, games and prizes. If you'd like to participate, first register online at www.geocaching.com. Participants must also register at the event Saturday.
