Bonnie Jo (Harbison) Cole, 69, St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009, at her home.
She was born September 7, 1940, in St. Joseph, the daughter of Henry and Myrtyl Harbison, who preceded her in death.
Ms. Cole was also preceded in death by her brother, Bill Harbison, and two grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Lafayette High School and attended St. Joseph Junior College.
Ms. Cole was a lifetime member and Past Worthy Matron of the Pearl Chapter of Eastern Star.
She was a very generous and giving person.
Survivors: sons, Michael Litton (Forrest Dunn) and Daniel Joe Cole (Sandra Ellis), all of St. Joseph; daughters: Jean Pierce (John Elliott), Huntington, W.Va.; Penny Litton, Atchison, Kan.; Gerri Tracy, St. Joseph; and Bobbie Harrison (Zachary Wilson) Atchison, Kan.; sisters, Katherine Harbison, Harriet Walker (Donald), and Peggy Harbison; 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: 3 p.m. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
Ms. Cole will be cremated following the service.
