ALBANY, Mo. — Georgia A. Smith, 92, of Albany, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009, at North Kansas City Hospital.
Georgia, the daughter of Adolph and Anna M. (Jezek) Skroh, was born March 3, 1917 in Cainsville, Mo.
On September 29, 1939, Georgia was united in marriage to L.C. Smith Jr. He preceded her in death December 18, 1970.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, George Skroh; brothers, Wallace and Paul Skroh; and a great-grandson, Derreck Smith.
She was a homemaker and had worked for Rival Manufacturing in Albany. Georgia was a member of the Albany First Christian Church and Esther Chapter No. 13 of the Order of the Eastern Star of Albany.
Survivors: sons, George (Judy) Smith, Pattonsburg, Mo.; Charles (Tammy) Smith, Kansas City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany, with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral services on Wednesday at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
