Issac B. Jackson
LATHROP, Mo. - Sergeant Issac Brandon Jackson, 27, Lathrop, formerly of Plattsburg, Mo., joined his Lord in Heaven on October 27, 2009.
He was serving in Kandahar, Afghanistan, in the Striker 5th Brigade out of Fort Lewis, Wash., with the 1-17th Infantry Battalion since June 2009. This was his second tour of duty. He served his first tour with the 3rd Brigade, 10th Mountain Division 1-32nd Infantry Battalion out of Fort Drum, N.Y. from March 2006 to June 2007.
Issac was born in St. Joseph on April 2, 1982, to Christal (Stamper) Thomas-Kariker and John Jackson. He graduated from Lathrop High School in 2001. Issac joined the United States Army in May 2004, completing his basic training and AIT in Fort Benning, Ga.
Issac met his future wife, Kristen Northrup, while attending Lathrop First Baptist Church in April 2004. They were engaged in October 2004 then were married on December 18, 2004, by their Pastor and friend, Donnie Quinn. Their son, Enoch Immanuel Jackson, was born April 10, 2008, in Fort Lewis, Wash. They are expecting their daughter, Eden Marie Jackson, in December of 2009.
