Ruth A. Simon Langdon
Ruth A. (Simon) Langdon, 75, St. Joseph, died Sunday at Arbor View Healthcare Facility.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Teresa and "Curly" Eldridge Simon; and a brother Bob L. Simon.
Ruth was married to Junior Hawkins and later divorced. She had a brief marriage to Don Langdon, whom is now deceased.
Ruth was a 1952 graduate of Lafayette High School. She retired from State Hospital laundry department in May 2003. She was a very creative and artistic individual.
Ruth made hew own pottery and owned a pottery shop in the 1970s. She redesigned fashion wear with embroidery and paints. Ruth was a very athletic softball player and one of St. Joseph's top female bowlers in the 1960s leagues.
Survivors: daughter, Kimberly A. Hawkins of St. Joseph; sister, Emma Jean Neudorff; brothers, Billy E. Simon, and Raymond F. Simon, all of St. Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service: 7 p.m. Wednesday at Maxwell Heights Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bridgewater officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
